Every day at the Monkey House is an adventure. If you're on your honeymoon or just want to feel like you are, this hideaway in Manuel Antonio is meant for you.
Begin your morning sipping a cup of rich Costa Rican coffee on the 600-square foot terrace as you gaze out at the rain forest and ocean beyond.
The Monkey House is a studio villa best suited for a couple. It's a romantic getaway and a magical place for a honeymoon. It's secluded behind a high wall, so you'll enjoy total privacy and security. The Monkey House is nestled on 6000 square meters of rain forest on the pacific coast between the town of Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. It's just a 20-minute domestic flight or a 3½-hour scenic drive from San Jose. It's located within walking distance of several excellent restaurants, or if you choose to cook a home-style meal or two in our fully equipped kitchen, you can shop at the local markets for fresh seafood, vegetables and tropical fruit.
The front wall is floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and provides a spectacular view of the rain forest and ocean beyond. We recently added air conditioning. From the terrace you're likely to spot many of Costa Rica's 850 species of birds such as toucans, mot mots and eagles. Capuchin, squirrel and howler monkeys, sloths, iguanas, kinkajous, olingos, and coatimundis can also be seen. There is no pool but the good news is the folks next door at the lovely Hotel Makanda welcome our guests at their pool and Jacuzzi with open arms. All they ask in return is that you purchase a beverage or snack. So, you get the privileges of one of the finest hotels in Manuel Antonio at reasonable Monkey House prices.
