10 Night Birding Adventure
Day 1:
Arrive at San Jose International Airport and be met by our driver who will be holding up a sign with your name on it. He will take you to the Zamora Estates Hotel where you will spend one night. The Zamora Estate is a lovely property with private trails and is the home to many varieties of birds. Be sure to sit on the deck at sunset and watch the Egrets come to roost for the night alongside the pond.
Day 2:
After enjoying breakfast this morning, we'll leave for the airport at about 8.00 am and fly to Drake Bay airport. A driver from Corcovado Tent Camp will be waiting for you to transfer you to the Corcovado Tent Camp where you will spend the next 3 nights.
Day 3:
Today is the day for your early birding tour. Enjoy a short hike near the Camp to see many of the 400 species of birds that are resident there. Then relax and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding you. The hotel offers many things to do, or you may choose to lounge by the pool or take a walk through the gardens and jungle
Day 4:
Corcovado National Park Tour
For a full day in the thick of the rain forest, Corcovado National Park is unparalleled for breathtaking beauty, abundant wildlife and foliage nearly pulsing with lushness.
The quiet of the jungle is occasionally broken with the guttural bark of howler monkeys, the shrieks of scarlet macaws and the rustle of agoutis in the bush. Sloths make their slow way among branches overhead. The rainforest canopy creates a cool environment for hiking well-groomed trails.
A midday we'll have lunch under the shade of a mango tree on Llorona beach allows you to enjoy the hiss and boom of the surf while resting from your morning's expedition.
The next leg of the adventure is a walk up the San Pedrillo River, leading to a rainforest waterfall great for a cool dip.
Day 5:
Today, you're driven back to the airport for your flight to San Jose and your travel to Monteverde Cloud Forest. You will be staying at El Establo for the next 4 nights.
Day 6:
Early Birding Tour -- 6 am
This 5 hour tour takes you on a journey to see the abundant variety of birds found in the Monteverde area. This is a guided tour with expert tour guides.
Day 7:
Guided Cloud Forest Hike Santa Elena
The variable climate and large altitudinal gradient have helped to produce an amazingly heterogeneous set of creatures that live here. Some of these include the jaguar, ocelot, Baird’s tapir, three-wattled bellbird, bare-necked umbrellabird, and the famously elusive resplendent quetzal.
Day 8:
The Guided Nature Tour Monteverde provides a broader and more thorough experience of the marvels of the cloud forest. They are conducted by naturalist guides specializing in the area of Monteverde and Selvatura Park, which ensures that each walk will have a biological, ornithological and cultural approach of Monteverde and the cloud forest.
Day 9:
You will be driven to the San Jose area where you'll return to the Zamora Estates Hotel for your last two nights
Day 10:
Tour of La Paz Waterfall Gardens (lunch included)
Includes: five waterfalls, cloud forest and rain forest, safe hiking trails, aviary with 40 species of birds, toucan feeding, marmoset monkeys, insect exhibit, butterfly observatory and butterfly gardens, butterfly laboratory, two-toed sloths, Capuchin (white-faced) monkeys, black-handed spider monkeys, hummingbird garden with 26 documented species, hummingbird hand feeding in the mornings and afternoons, serpentarium (snake exhibit), Jaguar, pumas, ocelots, jaguarundi, margays, casita de la paz with petting zoo and ox cart, ranarium (frog exhibit), orchid exhibit, heliconia exhibit, bromeliad exhibit.
Day 11:
Transfer to airport and fly home

8 Day Honeymoon Arenal – Monteverde – Rincon de la Vieja
DAY 1:
Arrive at San Jose International Airport (SJO) where you will be met by your driver who will be holding a sign with your name on it. He has your flight information and will track your flight just in case of delays or problems.
Your driver will take you to The Don Carlos Hotel where you will spend one night. The Don Carlos Hotel is located in the oldest historical section of San José. The Hotel Don Carlos is small, but as the former residence of two past Presidential families, is also a significant part of Costa Rica’s rich heritage.
DAY 2:
Enjoy your included breakfast and be prepared to transfer to the town of La Fortuna, home of the famous Arenal Volcano. You will arrive at Hotel Arenal Manoa in time for lunch. Arenal offers Costa Rica´s most active volcano, with almost daily displays.
DAY 3:
Be sure to arrive in the lobby of the hotel for your Liquid Lava Tour by 3:30 pm.
Arenal Volcano Hike - Liquid Lava Tour.
Hike through lush rainforest with a naturalist guide close to the base of the Arenal Volcano where we wait for sunset at the observation point.
As it starts to get dark, on clear nights you can see the amazing lava flow of Central America's most-active volcano. Later, take a relaxing dip in natural hot springs and enjoy the area's specialty tropical drinks at the swim-up bar.
DAY 4:
Today you will go by shuttle boat to Monteverde. Crossing Lake Arenal you will be able to see the grandeur of the surrounding countryside, the lake and the spectacular Arenal Volcano. The Sapo Dorado Hotel is waiting for you to discover the wonders of nature. Your private sunset suite offers a private entrance and porch and private bath. Relax enjoying the sunset over the Gulf of Nicoya.
DAY 5:
Canopy Zip Line Tour
After enjoying your included breakfast in the dining room, meet in the lobby of the hotel for your Canopy Zip Line tour. You'll fly over the treetops through 10 different cables, in total, 13,387 feet, with lengths spanning 2,526 feet, heights of 460 feet and a view of nature from angles you'll never see anywhere else. With luck, you may even see howler monkeys as you breeze by.
Come back and enjoy the rest of the day relaxing by the pool or touring around town, then return to your beautiful room for a view of the sunset.
DAY 6:
Today you begin your journey to Guanacaste, the Northern most province of Costa Rica where you will stay at La Hacienda Guachipelin. La Hacienda Guachipelin is adjactent to Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Costa Rica´s minature Yellowstone. There are many tours and exciting things to do and see in this area. We will be happy to work with you to book the tours you are most interested in. Take full advantage of the hotel's natural hotsprings and lose yourself.
DAY 7:
Wake-up in your clean, comfortable room surrounded by the exotic sights and sounds of Costa Rica. Today, enjoy all that this beautiful and unique part of Costa Rica has to offer.
Day 8:
You're up for an early breakfast then transported to the airport.
